GDA is very proud of its Community Centre. Our turn-of-the-century characterful building, the old Barnwood Primary School, has recently been fully refurbished to offer attractive, friendly, and well equipped facilities, as well as easy on-site parking. It has good transport links, with the number 10 bus stopping just outside the centre, as well as having good links to the A40 and M5.

We have three different rooms each offering free WIFI and a hearing loop system. Whether you are looking for an exercise studio, meeting room, training facility or a lovely space for a children's party, our fantastic team have lots of experience and can help you make your event a real success!

The building includes the following facilities:

MAIN HALL

  • Capacity up to 70 people

  • Adjoining kitchen and bar within main room

  • Equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual system

  • Equipped with a hearing loop

  • This is a fantastic space for meetings and functions

THE HONEYFORD ROOM

  • Capacity up to 20 people

  • Portable hearing loop system available

  • Ideal for boardroom meetings with lots of natural daylight

THE RUBY ROOM

  • Capacity up to 20 people

  • Optional full length mirrors across one wall

  • Portable hearing loop system available

  • Ideal for boardroom meetings with lots of natural daylight

ALL BOOKINGS INCLUDE

  • Full access for people with physical and sensory needs.

  • Spacious washrooms, including toilet facilities for disabled people.

  • Free on-site car parking. 

  • Additional resources include: TV with DVD player, flipchart, projector
