To help protect GDA service users, interpreters, staff, volunteers, visitors and supporters, we’re asking you all to join us in taking the following steps to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
Whether you are coming to the GDA office, Community Centre or attending any of our hearing aid clinics, or you’re working on behalf of GDA out in the community, please ensure you follow these steps as set out by the Department of Public Health and Social Care and the NHS.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Use the hand sanitiser gel available. GDA has gel available in the office and reception areas
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (NOT your hands) when you cough or sneeze
Put used tissues in the bin and wash your hands straight away
GDA is additional taking measures to ensure all public areas within the GDA office and Community Centre are regularly wiped down and cleaned.
If you have recently visited an area abroad that has been affected by the Coronavirus, or you’re feeling unwell with a fever, we respectfully ask that you postpone your visit to GDA for the time being.
If you are in any way worried that you might have Coronavirus please call NHS 111. You can access this service in BSL via Interpreter Now or use NHS 24 online services.
Thank you for your cooperation with this.
