Local man doing Cheltenham Tri for GDA

GDA supporter to take on the Cheltenham Triathlon to raise money for deaf and hard of hearing services...
Gaetan Quinson from Cheltenham has signed up to do the Cheltenham Triathlon in aid of Gloucestershire Deaf Association. The event, which takes place on Sunday 8 September at the Sandford Parks Lido, will see competitors take on a 500m swim in the lido, a 15km cycle ride followed by a 2.7km run.

Gaetan is hoping to raise money for GDA which will specifically support the hard of hearing services we provide for thousands of people across the county.
To kick start his fundraising, Gaetan has set up an online fundraising page via the JustGiving site. Anyone wishing to support his challenge can do so by visiting his page: www.justgiving.com/Gaetan-Quinson.
GDA offers a variety of support and services to people in Gloucestershire who are living with acquired hearing loss, including:

* Hearing aid maintenance
* Listening aid equipment
* lip-reading classes

With more and more governments cuts being made to hard of hearing services, support from people like Gaetan is more important now then ever before.
Gaetan said "I am really pleased to be supporting Gloucestershire Deaf Association in this way. I hope that by taking part in this local event, it will raise awareness and of course money for their valuable services for hard of hearing people"

GDA's Fundraiser, Gemma Sills said "We are delighted to have Gaetan on board as a fundraiser for the charity. We are constantly in awe of anyone who is prepared to come out of their comfort zone and do something for GDA. We wish Gaetan all the very best with his training and fundraising and look forward to cheering him on, on the day".
