NXT GEN is Here – A Fresh Chapter for Young Deaf People

​

We are really excited to officially launch our revitalised NXT GEN service, designed for deaf and hard of hearing children, their siblings and children of deaf adults aged 9 to 16.

​

NXT GEN brings together a series of GDA events, activities and outings where young deaf people can connect, socialise and have fun with others who share similar experiences. It is all about building friendships, confidence and a strong sense of belonging.

​

Following the impact of the COVID pandemic, GDA has been working hard to secure resources to bring this much needed service back. We are proud to once again support this age group, many of whom previously took part in our Dalmatians programme before 2020.

​

We have an exciting line up of activities planned throughout the year and beyond. Including bowling, laser tag, Forest School sessions, Walls Ice Cream tours and fun sports themed days. Following a recent parent workshop, we have even more great ideas to explore, directly shaped by what families and children want.
