NXT GEN

We are really excited to be officially launching our revitalised NXT GEN service. This service is for deaf and hard of hearing children, their siblings and children of deaf adults aged 9-16.  NXT GEN is a series of GDA events, activities and outings where young deaf people can come together to socialise, make friends and have fun with their peers.

 

GDA has been seeking to secure resources for this much needed service throughout the aftermath of the COVID pandemic and so we are really pleased to be able to support this age range of young people again, many of whom have grown up with GDA as Dalmatians prior to 2020.

 

There are lots of events and activities planned throughout 2024 and beyond ranging from Bowling and Laser tag, Forest School, Walls Ice Cream tours and fun sports themed days. We held a parent workshop recently and have lots more ideas from parents and children on what they would like to see from this service.

 

Our first event will be Bowling and Laser tag on the 4th April at Tenpin which has been kindly funded by Pied Piper. Please see poster for details on how to book for this event.
