BSL Level 1

Discover the beauty of British Sign Language (BSL) and join a welcoming community of learners. This friendly, beginner-friendly course will give you the skills and confidence to communicate in BSL and explore the rich culture, arts, and social life of the Deaf community.

No previous experience is needed. You’ll be taught face-to-face by native signers, with access to bespoke learning materials, guided practice groups, and plenty of support to help you succeed.

The course includes 30 x 2-hour lessons plus dedicated assessment weeks, delivered over 9 months. Classes pause during school holidays.

Class times available:

Monday mornings: 10:30am – 12:30pm (Starting 22nd September) LAST FEW SPACES LEFT
Tuesday evenings: 6:30pm – 8:30pm (Starting 23rd September) THIS IS NOW FULL

Two ways to take part:

With Certification – Gain an official Level 1 BSL qualification by completing optional assessments.
- £89 upfront enrolment fee
- Then £89 per month for 8 months via Direct Debit
Without Certification – Learn purely for personal growth without taking the assessments.
- £79 upfront enrolment fee
- Then £79 per month for 8 months via Direct Debit
