Safari dinner in aid of GDA

The evening of Saturday 25th February was cold and damp, but 19 supporters of GDA had a warm welcome when they went on Safari in Cirencester.

Eating at three different houses in Pheasant Way, and moving around for each course, there was a great deal of laughter and fun, as well as great food, wine and friendship.
The Safari, organised by GDA Trustee and Fundraising Ambassador Jackie Gloyn, raised an incredible £1,108 to help support the life-transforming services and support GDA provides to thousands of Deaf and hard of hearing people in Gloucestershire.

As well as enjoying a delicious array of food, guests had the chance to enter in to win a week's accommodation at a holiday home in Normandy, France which was generously donated by owner Sue Herdman of Scrubditch Farm. Congratulations to the winner Valerie Boxwell, who is a member of the Gloucestershire Deafened & Cochlear Implant Support Group (GDCISG). Soroptimist member
Elva Greenhalgh was also a winner having won a case of six wine bottles, kindly donated by Cirencester Soroptimists.
Our sincere thanks to Jackie for yet again, hosting another triumphant fundraiser in aid of GDA.
