Whats On
GDA signs up to take on Three Peaks

We've taken on half marathons and jumped out of a plane, so we're very excited to be donning the hiking boots to take on the Three Peaks Challenge as our next fundraising challenge...

At the beginning of September we launched our 2017 fundraising event; the Three Peaks Challenge, to extremely positive response. The take-up to the challenge, which will take place between 19th and 21st May 2017, has been fantastic and already we have 12 adventurers rearing to go.

The challenge will see the team climbing the three highest peaks in the UK; Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell in England and Snowdon in Wales, over a 24 hour period. Expert support and guidance will come from challenge company, Maximum Adventure.

Already this is looking like it will be our biggest challenge yet and we're hoping to smash previous fundraising challenge totals, by raising £8,000 which will help fund the wide range of services and support GDA provides to thousands of deaf and hard of hearing people in Gloucestershire, including a number of lip-reading classes, hearing-aid maintenance support, deaf employment support, children and youth clubs and much more...

Anyone interested in taking on this fantastic challenge can contact Gemma Sills on 01452 372999 or email gemma.sills@gda.org.uk for more information. Alternatively you can find out more by checking out our challenge page by clicking here.
