GDA wins £2,000 in Lloyds Community Fund

Thanks to your votes, GDA has won £2,000 in the Lloyds TSB Community Fund programme...
Throughout September and October GDA called upon their supporters and service users to cast their votes for the charity in the Lloyds TSB Community Fund programme. And boy did they deliver.
The results are now in and we are delighted to say that with 854 votes GDA has come in in second place and been awarded £2,000!!

This fantastic amount of money will help fund our five lip-reading classes across Gloucestershire, benefitting nearly 100 people who are learning this essential life-skill. Since cutbacks forced the withdrawal of public funding for this service in 2011, Gloucestershire Deaf Association has been fundraising to host lip-reading classes in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud and Cirencester and initiatives like the Lloyds Community Fund really do make a difference and help ensure the future of such a vital service for anyone with hearing loss.
