Autumn dates announced for lip-reading

Lip-reading classes for the autumn term announced...

Gloucestershire Deaf Association (GDA) is pleased to announce the new term dates for the Gloucestershire lip-reading classes. GDA hosts five classes across the county run by qualified and experience lip-reading tutors.

Lip-reading, which is based on recognising lip shapes, is an essential life skill for anyone living with hearing loss. Many students finds it helps boost their confidence and aside from enjoying the opportunity to share their experience of coping with hearing loss in different social situations, they are able to make new friends who act as a support network in what can be a very daunting time.

Classes are held weekly in Cirencester, Cheltenham and Stroud as well as two classes in Gloucester. New students are welcome at any time and we invite new members to come along to a taster session to get a feel for how the class works and met the other students and tutor. The cost is £30 per person for a twelve-week course.

The autumn term begins week commencing 9 September and all class dates can be found on the GDA events page by clicking here.
