Why do we need your help?
Gloucestershire Deaf Association (GDA) is a local charity supporting D/deaf and hard of hearing people within Gloucestershire. We rely on the generosity of the general public, corporates and grant giving bodies so we can continue providing much needed support, specialist services and community activities to D/deaf and hard of hearing children and adults.
Sadly, D/deaf and hard of hearing people are excluded from a wide range of mainstream services and opportunities. Simple day-to-day tasks such as going to the doctor or food shopping can be extremely daunting and opporuntities can be missed because the appropriate support isn't available. For a deaf young person, they too can become isolated especially at school when the right education support isn't available.
With your help we can provide practical as well as emotional support that focuses on improving quality of life, independence and social inclusion. Our aim is to create a society where deaf and hearing people are equal, but we can't do it without you.
There are many ways in which you can help support GDA. Why not take a look at our 'How you can help' pages for inspiring fundraising and supporter ideas.
If you would like to find out more about supporting GDA or if you have your own fundraising story you'd like to share, please contact Gemma Sills on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01452 372999. We'd love to hear from you.
Whatever you choose to do to support GDA, thank you.
